- In past months, I've discussed how both prostate massagers and cock rings can enhance your pleasure, both for solo and for partnered play. But are these two forms of stimulation two great tastes that taste great together? (Spoiler: Yes, yes they are.) And is the Rascal Cock and Ass Blaster the toy to combine them for you? Find out below!
- The somewhat intimidatingly named Rascal Cock and Ass Blaster is an attempt to provide both anal pleasure and the phallic pleasure and hardening effects of a cock ring in a single toy. It's made of a pthalate-free, medical grade silicone (that is more flexible in some places, such as the connector between the anal and cock ring sections, and stiffer in others), and comes in either red or black. On one end, it has a cock ring (about 1.75" in diameter), and on the other end, connected by a more pliable piece of silicone, it has an insertable anal toy that's about 4.5" long and 1.5" wide at its widest. The anal toy has some mildly raised detailing in flame shapes to give it some texture; whether this appeals or not is up to personal preference. The result is a toy that is meant to provide anal pleasure as well as the benefits of wearing a cock ring during sex or masturbation.
- Unfortunately, the Rascal Cock and Ass Blaster isn't quite as easy and enjoyable to use as I had hoped from such a fun idea for a toy. The cock ring silicone is fairly firm, which can make it difficult to both the cock and balls inserted, particularly if you're trying to get the toy on once an erection has already started. On the other hand, it feels kind of odd to be putting in the cock ring without the anal toy inserted, as the toy flops around between your legs during the process. So, if you generally get erect or need to be erect to pleasurably insert an anal toy, the Rascal Blaster leaves you at a bit of an impasse regarding how to get it on without feeling silly.
- The other major complaint against the Rascal Blaster depends on which version you buy. The version I received had very little in the way of widening toward the base of the anal toy, while I have seen other versions that come in black that have a much more pronounced bulb on the insertable portion. If you get the less bulbous version, it can be difficult to keep the anal toy effectively inserted while other sexual play happens; it's built more like a thrusting anal toy than a plug, and so it has a tendency to slide back out. I imagine that the toy is supposed to be best suited to being worn during penetrative sex to provide extra stimulation as the user thrusts his hips, but with the lack of a more plug-like shape, it can't be used in this way unless someone devotes a hand to holding it in.
- Other points about the Rascal Blaster could be positive or negative, depending on the user's personal tastes. If you enjoy firmer cock rings, the Blaster might be more appealing than if you find them overly constrictive or get nervous about getting stuck. The connector piece of silicone can rub against the perineal area as the toy is moved with penile stimulation, which can be either kind of annoying or pleasurable, depending on the type of pressure and stimulation you like in that area. The flame detailing on the anal plug provides some texture, but if you like a toy that inserts very smoothly, the texturing makes it a little more difficult. Finally, while there's some bulbing shape in the correct area, the anal toy doesn't stimulate the prostate as well or as strongly as many other prostate toys.
- In all, the Rascal Cock and Ass Blaster is a clever idea for a sex toy that I wanted very much to like. Unfortunately, its design didn't seem as functional as I would have liked, and it isn't as easy to put on or use as one would hope from a sex toy. Still, it could be a fun toy to experiment with, particularly if you find one of the versions with the more flared base. Or you may want to hold out and hope that a more premium sex toy company runs with this idea and makes a toy that gives it the more functional treatment it deserves.
